Business Grants For Disabled Minorities-Free Minority Dethronement Grants

Business Grants For Disabled Minorities-Free Minority Dethronement Grants
Business grants for disabled minorities are more scarce than most would believe them to be. However, several organizations exist to help disabled minorities locate specific grants to help them establish a business and create a source of income. Begin searching for business grants at disability.gov. Most legitimate grants can be found on this website.
Start-Up USA
Start-Up USA is a grant foundation that provides funding and support to individuals with disabilities that prevent them from attending normal colleges or functioning in a normal employment situation. They offer training and assistance to families with disabled members. Along with the training, they help provide financial assistance for start-up businesses that are founded and run by individuals with disabilities. The foundation operates in conjunction with Virginia Commonwealth University to provide training and professional insight. This foundation will also help members apply for several lesser known grants and loans.
The U.S. Department of Labor
The U.S. Department of Labor provides assistance to disabled minorities through the National Technical Assistance, Policy and Research Center for Employers on Employment of People with Disabilities. Funds are made available through this organization and individuals will need to apply during the prescribed application period. This grant exists for the sole purpose of funding jobs for disabled individuals. The office of disability employment policy plays a very large part in the grant foundation's operation.
Grants.gov
Grants.gov is a good place to search for grants that apply to disabled minorities. There are very few grants directly applying to disabled minorities, but there are many grants that approve many applicants. A revolving grant that may be interesting to many disabled vets is the Jobs for Veterans State Grant. This grant can help disabled minority veterans found businesses, and it creates many jobs for disabled vets. Since most grants that apply to disabled minorities come and go very quickly, this website is a great resource for keeping track of the current grants that would apply to a given individual.
The Minority Business Development Agency
The Minority Business Development Agency will help applicants search for and apply for local grants and loans that apply to disabled minorities. This organization is one of the best resources for applicants to use in a search for grants that apply to minorities. MBDA will help applicants write their grant proposals and direct them to recent grant openings that will apply to them.
